Cristiano Ronaldo was unhappy and frustrated with Harry Maguire during Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over West Ham, according to reports.
Maguire has been out of action for United since suffering an abdominal injury in the win over Burnley, which was their final match of 2021.
He missed three matches but returned to the team during United’s 3-1 win over Brentford on Tuesday and was named in the starting lineup alongside Raphael Varane to take on the Hammers on Saturday.

The Red devils left it late to secure the points, with Marcus Rashford netting the only goal of the match on 93 minutes.
United have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks under Ralf Rangnick and the manager would have been pleased with his defence picking up a clean sheet to return to the top four.
Maguire has been in disappointing form this campaign but he too put in an improved display against David Moyes’ side.
That said, Maguire received some on-pitch advice from a rather frustrated Ronaldo during one point in the game, which shows just how much influence he has at Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, Maguire attempted to find Ronaldo with an header while clearing a West Ham attack, but the Portugal international was slow to react.
Instead of admitting his mistake, Ronaldo turned on Maguire and advised him to take the ball down on his chest next time.
A recent report from The Athletic claimed that a number of United players, particularly the younger up-and-comers, struggle to approach Ronaldo in the dressing room.
A number of them were also reported to be frustrated by the 36-year-old’s recent Sky Sports interview in which he suggested certain players are too sensitive to his advice or criticism.
