Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent speaks out amid Man Utd unrest

Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has responded to reports suggesting that the Portugal international is currently unhappy at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo made a return to United in the summer and has since scored 8 goals in 15 Premier League games, while also playing a major part in their qualification for the next round of the Champions League.

The Red devils sacked former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last month after they fell to seventh place in the league table after an embarrassing 4-1 Premier League defeat away at Watford.

The Norwegian coach was replaced by Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis, with the former RB Leipzig boss remaining unbeaten in his opening five games in charge.

After Solskjaer was sacked, Ronaldo’s agent Mendes made contact with United, where he received assurances over the club’s direction moving forward, according to the Athletic.

But, recent reports have suggested that Ronaldo is not convinced by Rangnick’s coaching methods after showing visible signs of frustration several times during United’s most recent matches.

The Portugal international is also reported to be disappointed with United’s displays in the Premier League so far this campaign.

However, speaking this week, Mendes has hit back at those claims and said that Ronaldo is ‘very happy’ at Old Trafford.

‘Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy at Man United. He’s gonna continue with his solid, great performances as always in his career,’ he said.

‘It’s gonna be a great season for him, I’m sure.’
