Ronaldo’s response to Lionel Messi taunt during MrBeast video has got fans talking

Cristiano Ronaldo caused a stir with his reaction to being taunted about Lionel Messi in a video with MrBeast.

The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient teamed up with the world’s most-subscribed YouTuber for a series of videos on both of their channels.

The most recent video, posted on Ronaldo’s ‘UR – Cristiano’ channel, where the Manchester United and Real Madrid icon has 72 million subscribers, is titled ‘How Many Goalkeepers Does It Take to Stop Ronaldo?’ and garnered over a million views within hours. ..Continue Reading

As anticipated, Ronaldo took penalties against four goalkeepers at Al Nassr’s Al Awwal Park stadium. MrBeast took a turn in goal before his friends joined to try and block Ronaldo’s shots.

However, taunts about Messi, Ronaldo’s long-time rival and eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, were used to distract the 39-year-old before his final attempt.

“Nolan says he doesn’t like you, he thinks you’re not the GOAT,” MrBeast told Ronaldo.

“Nolan’s the guy on the end over there, he thinks Messi’s better! He calls it soccer and he said Messi’s the GOAT.

Ronaldo saw the funny side and zaid, “Who said Messi’s better than me?” – before laughing hysterically as the three men pointed at Nolan on the end.

Unsurprisingly, the comment about Messi sparked a lot of discussion online.

One wrote: “How obsessed is this guy mannn.”

Another said: “This guy always dey find attention but the goat is just a chill guy.”

A third added: “All my life, I have never heard Messi talk comparison about Cristiano Ronaldo.”

A fourth commented: “Messi lives rent free in his mind.”

A final user joked: “Bro is still thinking about Messi even after he started a new YouTube career.”

To Ronaldo’s credit, he took the teasing in stride and wasn’t noticeably annoyed, unlike past instances. Nonetheless, it prompted him to decisively choose his spot for the final penalty, striking the ball to the same side as Nolan with remarkable force and accuracy.

The American, feeling overwhelmed, later confessed that he “thought he was going to die.”

Ronaldo is currently on a winter break and will resume play with Al Nassr in a Saudi Pro League match against Al Akhdoud on 9 January.
