Jadon Sancho makes Rashford feelings very clear as Man Utd exit looms

Jadon Sancho appears to have come to the aid of his former Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford.

Sancho, 24, is currently on loan at Chelsea, following a stint at Borussia Dortmund in the latter part of the 2023/24 season after falling out with former United manager Erik ten Hag.

Rashford, 27, has been the focus of intense speculation from fans, media, and ex-players recently after being excluded from United’s 20-man squad for their 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday. ..Continue Reading

This week, Rashford disclosed to journalist Henry Winter that he is “ready for a new challenge.”

Once again, Rashford was left out of Amorim’s squad for the 4-3 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Spurs on Thursday night.

On Friday, ESPN shared a graphic featuring Ian Wright’s defense of Rashford.

“I got to Arsenal at 28, but you expect ME to write off someone with the ability Marcus [Rashford] has at 27!!!!” Wright commented on a video posted to The Overlap’s Instagram page.

“So many of you are desperate to see these young people fail so that you can say you were right!”

Sancho reacted to ESPN’s post by leaving a ‘speaking’ and ‘100’ emoji, indicating his agreement with the former Arsenal forward’s opinion.

In the latest episode of The Overlap, sponsored by Sky Bet, Wright once again defended Rashford when Gary Neville asked if the United forward would enhance Arsenal’s goalscoring capabilities.

“I think he has that capability,” said Wright.

“27 is not a age to be writing someone off,” he added. “He has the capability.”

“I think he is somebody in a different dressing room with a different environment around him, he has the ability,” explained the former Arsenal man.

After being excluded from Amorim’s squad, the United forward has attracted interest from several clubs, with Al-Ittihad recently emerging as a possible destination.

However, one club stands out as the heavy favorite to sign the 27-year-old.

PSG has been linked with a move for Rashford, who is under contract with United until the summer of 2028.

Reports suggest that out-of-favor forward Randal Kolo Muani or left-back Nuno Mendes could be part of a ‘swap deal’ to facilitate the transfer.
