Jadon Sancho sends message to Rashford after Aston Villa debut, makes huge dig at Man Utd

One Chelsea player who will have been grateful for the chance to restart his career at Stamford Bridge is Jadon Sancho.

Initially facing another season of limited playing time at Manchester United, Sancho was signed by Chelsea on loan with an obligation to buy in a last-minute transfer deadline move.

Under Enzo Maresca, Sancho has become a regular starter, and although his recent form hasn’t been great, he has the support of his manager to improve. ..Continue Reading

A similar situation to what Sancho experienced at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag recently occurred for Marcus Rashford under Ruben Amorim, and Rashford secured a move to Aston Villa.

The England international made his debut for Villa in the FA Cup, and while Chelsea was eliminated by Brighton, Villa advanced with a 2-1 win over Tottenham.

Rashford impressed coming off the bench for Villa and quickly took to Instagram to celebrate his debut.

Sancho was one of the first players to respond to his post, taking the opportunity to subtly criticize United.

He commented: “Freedom,” celebrating his friend’s and former teammate’s return to the pitch for the first time since December.

Sancho’s departure from United seemed inevitable after he was excluded from a matchday squad, with Ten Hag attributing the decision to his training conduct.

In a now-deleted social media post, Sancho fired back at the manager, stating he had been made a scapegoat.

He said (via Sky Sports): “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is (sic) completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.

“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, l’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.

“I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and (am) grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge.

“I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”

The relationship deteriorated to the point where Man United were happy for him to leave on loan, and after a brief stint at Dortmund, he found himself making the move to Stamford Bridge.
