for joining Arsenal over Chelsea or Manchester United, although a January transfer remains unlikely.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a Premier League move for some time, with summer negotiations failing to result in a deal.
The Slovenian international, who scored 18 goals in all competitions last season in his debut with Leipzig, has already netted 14 times this campaign.
Interest from English clubs remains high, with several Premier League giants eager to sign the young striker.
Arsenal, in particular, are seeking reinforcements up front, and Sesko is high on their list of targets, having shown interest in him last year.
According to TalkSPORT, the player is also keen on the move, and when Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea inquired over the summer, he preferred the Gunners.
However, the transfer did not materialize, and Sesko remained at Leipzig. Despite ongoing interest, he is likely to stay in the Bundesliga for the rest of the season.
The report indicates that his contract lacks a release clause, and Leipzig is unwilling to sell this month, meaning it would take a substantial offer to secure a deal before the January window closes.
A summer move appears more probable, though Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that the club is currently searching for a new striker following injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.
‘My opinion is clear,’ Arteta told a press conference this week. ‘We lost two very important players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, so we lack goals, people, and options in the front line.
‘It’s clear that for the period that we have lost them, ideally we need some help, because we were short already and we’re even shorter. The team has still coped with that but we have do what is right for the club.
‘If we can get the right player, that’s what we are actively looking at, but any player – no, we need someone that makes us better and makes an impact on the team.
‘We have very, very short numbers for many, many weeks and they recognise the situation, we all do. That’s why we are trying to do what is right for the club, the team, that’s our intention.’
