The Dutch manager was dismissed on Monday following a 2-1 loss to West Ham, which marked United’s fourth defeat in nine Premier League games, leaving them in 14th place.

During his two seasons with United, Ten Hag won both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
His success at Wembley last May spared him from being dismissed after a difficult end to the Premier League season, but a lack of meaningful improvement this season, despite significant summer investments, ultimately led to his exit.
While Ten Hag hadn’t completely lost the support of the dressing room, The Daily Star reports he felt let down by certain senior players, including Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, and Antony.
Casemiro, who joined from Real Madrid in Ten Hag’s first summer, had a strong debut season but struggled last year and was left out of the FA Cup final against City.
Rashford was disciplined by Ten Hag on a few occasions, including a temporary benching in January 2023 over punctuality issues.
He was also asked to apologize after attending a birthday party following a 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City in October and faced scrutiny again in February for missing training after being seen partying in Belfast.
Antony, since his £84 million transfer from Ajax, has continued to struggle, logging only a minute in Premier League play this season.
Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, and Kobbie Mainoo were among the players who paid heartfelt tributes to Ten Hag after news of his departure.
