One of the players linked to Arsenal was Manchester United’s out-of-favor forward, Marcus Rashford.

A report from TBR Football has now shed light on why the Gunners didn’t pursue a move for Rashford.

Arteta’s current targets are long-term prospects for the Gunners, whereas Rashford would have been a temporary solution.

Rashford impressed on his Villa debut against Tottenham in the FA Cup, helping Emery’s side advance to the next round.
However, Arsenal wanted a player they had thoroughly evaluated, and Rashford wasn’t one of them.
Arsenal’s long-term targets include RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
