Thiago Silva has returned to training with Chelsea in a huge boost for Thomas Tuchel ahead of their Premier League clash with West Brom.
Silva has not played any game since the 1-0 victory over Tottenham on 4 February, with a thigh injury keeping him on the sidelines.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender was named among the subs against Everton this month but a minor setback delayed his return for Chelsea.
However, the blues have not struggled in the Brazilian’s absence and have conceded only two goals in the 14 matches since Tuchel arrived at Stamford Bridge in January.
And Silva appears set to return for a crucial period of the campaign, pictured back in training on Tuesday and sending a hopeful message to Chelsea supporters on Instagram.
‘Happy to be back doing what I love! May God bless our new beginnings,’ he wrote.
Chelsea will play West Brom as the Premier League returns this weekend. Another blues player in contention to return is Tammy Abraham, who also returned to training this week.
