Three players to leave Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s exit announcement

When Jurgen Klopp steps down as manager, a minimum of three players may part ways with Liverpool in the upcoming summer.

As per talkSPORT, Klopp’s exit could result in Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold departing from Anfield.

Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold each possess contracts with approximately 18 months remaining.

Concerning Salah, his future had already been uncertain, particularly after Saudi Arabia deal makers attempted to entice him last summer.

The 31-year-old came close to departing last summer, but the Reds declined to engage in any transactions.

Nevertheless, he could now be more receptive to the prospect of relocating to the Middle East, especially with Klopp poised to exit the club.

Klopp has announced his departure from Liverpool at the conclusion of this season, citing a depletion of energy as the reason.

The announcement caught nearly everyone off guard, including the club’s players. Despite some members of the Liverpool squad referring to this season as Klopp’s “Last Dance” for success with the current group, the news was unexpected.

The Athletic claim: ‘Some players had been calling this season as “the Last Dance”, a reference to the Michael Jordan documentary, believing that Klopp was taking one last run at achieving something special with this group. But they weren’t expecting this now.’
