Tottenham set price for Man Utd to sign Harry Kane

Kane

Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for Harry Kane if interested clubs Manchester United and Manchester City pay a British transfer record price of £150m.

The England international is midway through a six-year deal with Spurs but he’s yet to win silverware at the club and Kane will reassess his options this summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Kane has scored 21 goals this season and Jose Mourinho is desperate to keep the England captain, as he’s key to the Portuguese’s plans of turning them into title challengers.

However, should Tottenham fail to finish in top four or win the Europa League, they face a second successive campaign outside Champions League at a time when their finances have taken a big hit.

The London side had accepted a period of financial hardship given the £1b bill on their new stadium but the absence of supporters has exacerbated their need to balance the books.

The opportunity to cash in on Kane would pay for around 15% of their stadium and according to Daily Mail, Spurs would listen to offers of around £150m for the player.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are long-term admirers, with both teams set to invest heavily on a striker this summer window.

City want a replacement for Sergio Aguero, who is likely to leave the club at the end of the campaign. While United signed Cavani on a short-term deal last summer with a view to signing a new striker in 2021.

Should either club meet their asking price, Kane would become the third most expensive player of all-time behind only Mbappe and Neymar.

Kane currently earns around £200,000-a-week at the club and both Manchester teams could easily increase his salary to around £300,000-per-week.
