Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has urged Callum Hudson-Odoi to show more consistency after their 7-0 Premier League win over Norwich.
Hudson-Odoi was selected to start against the Canaries after impressing during Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Malmo on Wednesday – in a game where both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner picked up injuries.
He scored the Blues’ second goal in Saturday’s game with a calm finish after being put clean through on goal by a sublime pass from Mateo Kovacic.

But, Tuchel believes that the England international must do more in order to cement a regular place in his starting lineup.
‘He had a good game against Malmo, another good game today. There are still things to improve and work on, but it’s on him,’ the German boss said.
‘It’s like I said before the game, he has to show he has to produce performances like this consistently and it’s time to show. Next performance is on Tuesday.’
A first Chelsea hat-trick from Mason Mount, as well as goals from Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and a late Max Aarons own goal sealed a win for the club to maintain their status at the top of the Premier League.
Speaking after the game, Hudson-Odoi hailed the performance of Mount, who he played alongside in Chelsea’s academy.
‘I’m so happy for him, obviously he’s a really good player, he works really hard day in, day out so to get the hat-trick was an amazing feeling,’ he said.
‘And from the academy as well, it’s a nice feeling to see someone you’ve grown up with get the hat-trick, so I’m delighted for him.’
