The 25-year-old has caught the attention of many, including Liverpool’s recruitment team, who view the former Wolves loanee as one of the most technically skilled midfielders in Europe.
According to Caught Offside, the Reds are ‘keeping a close eye’ on Vitinha ahead of the winter window.
His ability to dictate the pace of play and carry the ball forward reportedly makes him a strong fit for Arne Slot’s tactical setup.
Following a shaky start to the 2025–26 season, Vitinha’s arrival could offer Liverpool much-needed stability in midfield, though securing his signature may prove challenging.
PSG are not eager to let go of the Portuguese star, but a ‘staggering’ bid of around €130 million (£114m) might persuade the French champions to enter talks, as per the same source.
Other clubs, including Arsenal and Juventus, are also said to be monitoring the situation, though Liverpool are only expected to make a move if one of their current midfielders departs in January.
Vitinha has previously expressed admiration for Liverpool.
After PSG’s penalty shoot-out victory over the Reds in March, he praised the Anfield environment and referred to Liverpool as “a great team”.
“It’s not easy to play on this pitch, to play in this stadium, with the atmosphere supporting their team,” he said after the full-time whistle. “They are truly a great team, and the truth is we are relieved, we are happy.”
He delivered a masterclass performance that night, completing 103 of 111 passes and winning six ground duels.
Thierry Henry was effusive in his praise for Vitinha on TNT Sports: “This guy, Vitinha, plays a different sport. You know when you can control the tempo and rhythm of a game, that has to count for something.”
“People always talk about the people who can do step overs and win the game but Vitinha, the way he controls the game, and defends, it’s a different sport.”
