After enduring their most disappointing Premier League campaign ever, manager Ruben Amorim is revamping United’s front line in hopes of revitalizing the squad. ..Continue Reading
Players like Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho have all been informed they’re free to leave Old Trafford, though offloading them has proven challenging.
Incoming transfers include Matheus Cunha, who arrived from Wolves in a £62.5 million deal, and the club remains in negotiations with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo.
United are still hunting for a new lead striker, especially since Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee combined for just seven goals in league play last season.
Facing budget constraints, United are exploring affordable options, with Vlahovic emerging as a possibility as he enters the final year of his contract and pushes for a Juventus exit.
The 25-year-old could be released from his contract early, as Juventus are reportedly prepared to part ways and shed his hefty wages.
Both Manchester United and AC Milan are tracking the Serbian forward, though he’s believed to prefer one destination over the other.
According to The Sun, Vlahovic would rather join Milan, where he’d reunite with former boss Massimiliano Allegri — disappointing news for United.
Vlahovic made his name at Fiorentina before sealing a high-profile move to Juventus in 2022 worth more than £72 million.
Though he hasn’t entirely lived up to expectations, he still posted 17 goals in 44 outings last season and boasts 14 goals across 36 appearances for Serbia.
Former striker Darko Kovacevic believes either Manchester or Milan would suit Vlahovic well if he decides to leave Turin in the current transfer window.
‘I’d tell Dusan to move right away. It’s not easy to leave Juventus, and I say that from personal experience,’ Kovacevic, currently sporting director at Olympiakos, told Italian outlet Gazzetta.
‘However, sometimes you need to challenge yourself again to be happy and reach the top level. Someone like Vlahovic should always be a starter, whether at Juventus or elsewhere.
‘We can’t afford him at Olympiakos, but Milan or Manchester United could be good options for Dusan.
‘Maybe even Nottingham Forest. Just joking, we share the same ownership, but I only work for Olympiakos.’
