Sir Jim Ratcliffe has engaged in discussions with Tuchel, but he is no longer a contender to succeed Ten Hag at Old Trafford. A decision regarding Ten Hag’s future has not been finalized.
The INEOS group, led by Ratcliffe, is reviewing United’s season under Ten Hag’s management.
This review includes their eighth-place finish in the Premier League, early exits from the Carabao Cup and Champions League, and their FA Cup victory.
Ten Hag has cited the team’s injury issues as a factor affecting their performance. While this is being considered, it may not be enough to secure his position at United.
Potential replacements for Ten Hag include Brentford’s Thomas Frank, former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, England’s Gareth Southgate, and former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.
As Ten Hag awaits the outcome, United is set to begin pre-season training next month and will face Rosenburg, Rangers, and Arsenal in July friendlies.
