Willian has risked the wrath of Arsenal supporters by ‘liking’ a celebration post from Chelsea’s official social media account after their defeat at the Emirates.
The Blues underlined their Premier League title credentials with a routine 2-0 win over Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on Sunday.
And Romelu Lukaku gave Thomas Tuchel’s side the lead and Reece James doubled Chelsea’s advantage just before half-time.
While it was another outstanding performance from Chelsea, the result means Arsenal have taken no points and scored no goals from their first two matches of the campaign, after a dismal opening-day defeat to Brentford.
Willian missed the Chelsea game after testing positive for coronavirus, but was active on social media after the gunners’ defeat, ‘liking’ a celebrating post from his former team Chelsea.
Willian had a disappointing first season at the Emirates following a move from Chelsea in the summer of 2020, and reports have linked him with a move away from the club before the summer transfer window closes.
Arsenal manager Arteta admitted his team were beaten by a better team after their second consecutive defeat of the season.

He said: ‘They were the better team. When they play at their best, which I think they did today, they are champions of Europe, have world class players and to match at that level is difficult.
‘You can always do things better. In the first half it took us a long time to regain the ball in wide areas. We concede two goals but the way the team responded and the crowd never gave up, it gave us hope in the second half.’
Tuchel, meanwhile, said his team ‘could have played better’ despite their win in north London. He said: ‘I was impressed with the result at half-time. We could have played better. We were not as sharp as we can be.
‘We digest a long week as we gave them a big load with players coming in late. From time to time there were heavy legs and sloppy in passing.
‘But we overcame the difficult moments with quality and luck. We controlled the match in the second half. Still room to improve.’
