Zinedine Zidane has given a significant clue about his future in coaching, amid rumors that he could potentially succeed Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

Despite various reports, Sky Sports News has indicated that, as of now, there has been no communication with Thomas Tuchel, another candidate rumored for the position.
Zidane, who often comes up in discussions surrounding the United job, remains a notable option. Though he is listed at 28/1 to be the next United manager, Zidane hinted earlier this year that a return to coaching isn’t his main focus at the moment.
Speaking before the 2024 Champions League final, he shared that managing a team again isn’t a priority right now.
“It’s been three years since I’ve been coach of Real Madrid“, Zidane said.
“I was a player, I was a coach, and I was always a jack of all trades. But today, I want other things. I enjoy my life. I take care of my children, and my grandchildren too, since I recently became a grandfather.
“My life is full, and that’s the most important thing for me,” he continued.
Zidane has yet to manage a team outside of Real Madrid, where he enjoyed two stints from 2016 to 2021, winning three Champions League titles along the way.
This raises doubts about whether he would find the same level of success at a different club, especially one like Manchester United, which lacks the star-studded squad he had at Madrid.
