Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae’s representatives have spoken out on his reported summer transfer to Manchester United.
The Red Devils are said to be ready to trigger Kim’s release clause and improve Erik ten Hag’s defense ahead of the second campaign of his project.
And according to Italian outlet Il Mattino, it is only a matter of details before the 26-year-old completes a switch to Old Trafford.
Intermediaries involved in talks are believed to have convinced Kim to leave Napoli after helping the Italian club lift their first Scudetto in 33 years.
According to reports, Kim has a £41million release clause which can be triggered in the first 15 days of July.
And United have been linked with making a contract offer as Ten Hag eyes more quality in the already-competitive core of his defense.

But, Kim’s camp has urged calm over the situation, claiming that a transfer isn’t close to completion, despite the contrary reports.
They told Star News: “The transfer to Manchester United is not true. Currently, Kim Min-jae is focusing on finishing the season.
“In the case of the English Premier League, the qualification to the Champions League or the final standings have not been decided. There is no need to move.”
Kim has military training in June, so any potential deal isn’t expected to be completed before then. And his representatives said he is in no hurry to decide his future after a successful season in Naples.
“He has to be enlisted in June, so he doesn’t have to rush,” they added.
Kim only moved to Napoli last summer from Fenerbahce in a deal worth £16m, quickly becoming a key part of Luciano Spalletti’s defence.
His displays have caught the attention of Europe’s heavyweights, though Man United’s early interest may come as a surprise.
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have formed a solid partnership this season. They have played a huge role in United conceding just eight Premier League goals at home and David de Gea winning his second Golden Glove.
