Three of Harry Kane’s children injured in serious car crash in Germany

A day prior to the England captain’s appearance for Bayern Munich in their Champions League match against Arsenal in London, a car accident in Germany resulted in injuries to three of Harry Kane’s children.

The collision took place near Schaftlarn, south of Munich, at approximately 5:15pm.

A grey Renault attempting to merge onto the motorway was involved in an accident with a black Mercedes Vito carrying Kane’s children.

The three children of Kane—Louis, aged 3, Vivienne, aged 5, and Ivy, aged 7—were reported to have minor injuries and were transported to a hospital. Henry, Kane’s youngest child, was born the previous August.

The Renault was operated by a 20-year-old female, accompanied by a three-year-old child and two other adults, ages 43 and 48.

Also implicated in the incident was a Land Rover driven by a 62-year-old woman. Eight individuals in total received hospital treatment following the incident.

Kane was concurrently en route to London for Bayern’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Arsenal.

Kane, who transferred to Munich the previous summer for a fee of €100 million (£86.4m), netted a penalty in the first half, and the match concluded with a 2-2 draw.

Speaking about his decision to move to Germany after Bayern’s draw with Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday, Kane said: ‘I’m really enjoying my experience in Germany and it was a step that I needed in my career for a fresh stimulus, a fresh challenge and new surroundings, new stadiums, new teams and I’m really happy that I made the move.

“Of course, I know how big the Premier League is, I played there for so many years before and my future is at Bayern Munich.

‘I have a four-year contract, I’m really enjoying it, hopefully I will be able to make something special happen this season.

‘But if not, I’ll be ready to go again in the summer and turn things around. It’s been a disappointing season in the Bundesliga mainly compared to what Leverkusen have done. You have to give them credit and respect but Arsenal was a chance to show our togetherness and we’ve done that.’
