New video shows what Mo Salah & Klopp did after West Ham 2-2 Liverpool

Video footage from the London Stadium captured a tense moment between Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp on the sidelines during their crucial Premier League clash against West Ham United.

However, additional clips have surfaced, indicating that the tension persisted after the match ended in a 2-2 draw, with both Salah and Klopp seemingly ignoring each other in the aftermath.

Despite enjoying significant success together, including Premier League and Champions League triumphs, there appears to be some underlying issues between the star player and his manager as Klopp’s tenure at Liverpool nears its end, evident from their touchline disagreement.

Salah’s late substitution, along with Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez, following Michail Antonio’s equalizer in the 79th minute, failed to ignite Liverpool’s title chase, leaving them to settle for a draw in East London, much to the disappointment of both Salah and Klopp.

The tension between the two spilled over into the post-match scene, as Salah, whose future at Anfield seems uncertain, notably bypassed Klopp, opting instead to acknowledge West Ham manager David Moyes, a move that has attracted significant attention from fans and pundits, particularly following their earlier confrontation.

However, Salah did take a moment to applaud the Liverpool supporters as he left the field, expressing his gratitude for their support.

Klopp, in his post-match interview with TNT Sports, attempted to downplay the incident, suggesting that any issues between himself and Salah had been resolved.

He said: “No [I won’t talk about it]. We spoke already in the dressing room and for me that’s done.”

Following the disappointing draw against Moyes’ West Ham, James Pearce from The Athletic sheds light on the argument, attributing Salah’s frustration and subsequent snub of Klopp’s handshake to the manager’s decision to bench him and only bring him on late in the game.

As Klopp’s nine-year tenure at Liverpool nears its end with just three games remaining, it marks a regrettable conclusion to his illustrious reign at the club.

With Klopp’s departure imminent and the likely arrival of Feyenoord’s Arne Slot, change looms large in the Anfield dressing room this summer. Salah is among the players who could be heading for the exit in search of new opportunities.

While Salah is still widely regarded as one of the premier players in world football, his recent dip in form has raised concerns, particularly from a Liverpool perspective.

Despite being a prolific goal scorer, his output has declined recently, with just one goal and one assist in eight Premier League appearances since returning from injury.

Given his age and the impending structural changes at the club, there will be deliberation over Salah’s suitability for the new era. Perhaps, departing Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season could be the best course of action for all parties involved.
