Pochettino has only liked one Chelsea star’s Instagram post thanking him after exit

Fans have noticed that Mauricio Pochettino has only liked one post from a Chelsea player on Instagram after leaving the club.

Pochettino led Chelsea to a sixth-place finish and a spot in the Europa League, thanks to a strong end to the season.

However, he lasted just one season as manager, leaving by mutual consent following end-of-year discussions on Tuesday.

Chelsea now face the task of finding yet another coach for their ongoing project. Meanwhile, Pochettino is rumored to be considering a move to the Saudi Pro League for his next role.

On Instagram, Pochettino liked Cole Palmer’s post after his departure. Under Pochettino’s management, the 22-year-old Palmer had the best season of his career, scoring 25 goals in 45 games and winning the Premier League Young Player of the Season award after joining from Manchester City for £40 million.

In the post which Pochettino liked, Palmer wrote: “Gaffer, thank you for everything you have done for me & making my dreams come true. All the best.”

Nicolas Jackson also paid tribute, taking to Instagram to write: “Love you coach. Wish we could stay together more. But may God continue to bless you and your family.

“Thanks for the advices and support you’re a true lion and fighter wish you all the best.”

Moises Caicedo also hailed Pochettino but Malang Sarr, who was completely exiled at Chelsea, proceeded to like the post confirming his exit from the London club.

Commenting on his exit, Pochettino said: “Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club’s history. The club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.”

Kieran McKenna, Enzo Maresca, Ruben Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi are some of the managers said to be under consideration by the Blues.
