The Gunners aim to maintain their perfect record, having secured victories over Athletic Club and Olympiacos in their previous group matches.
Meanwhile, Diego Simeone’s squad are looking to claim a win on English soil after falling to Liverpool at Anfield in their opening game.
Prior to kickoff, reports emerged that Atletico had lodged a complaint against Arsenal.
According to The Sun, the Spanish club contacted UEFA after experiencing cold showers at the Emirates Stadium.
MARCA reported that Atletico were left ‘furious, surprised and confused’ by the lack of hot water in such a modern facility.
It’s believed that Atletico notified Arsenal of the issue at 6:45pm, shortly after beginning their training session.
Although the session was scheduled to end at 7:30pm, players reportedly returned to the dressing room at 7:15pm to find the problem unresolved.
The Sun stated that hot water was restored by 7:25pm.

Despite the fix, Simeone’s squad allegedly chose to depart on the team bus and shower at their hotel instead.
Arsenal responded with an apology and noted that such an issue had not occurred before.
Ahead of the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta offered high praise for Simeone.
He said: “At the highest level, I think what he’s done since he got to Atletico has been outstanding, not only what he has achieved but the way he’s done it.
“I think the identity that he has created for the club, for the team, the spirit, I think they are very simple and clear to identify, and that’s because the manager is very much them.”
Arteta added: “That’s extremely difficult to achieve for a short period of time and to do it for 14 years, I think he’s been there now, he’s done something incredible so it’ll be a pleasure to meet him.”
