Aguero trolls Ronaldo after his hat-trick in Man Utd’s win vs Norwich

Sergio Aguero took the opportunity to aim dig at Cristiano Ronaldo after his hat-trick in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Norwich City.

Ronaldo took his tally to 15 goals in the Premier League this campaign with his treble at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The 37-year-old has faced criticism over his displays since returning to United last summer, while reports claim that Erik ten Hag has decided not to have him in his squad next season.

But Ronaldo delivered a reminder of what he is capable of by helping the Red devils secure a vital win in their bid to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.

After his man-of-the-match performance, Ronaldo was spotted handing the ball to United’s 17-year-old academy attacker Alejandro Garnacho.

The midfielder, who was called up by Argentina last month, posted a picture of the moment he shared with Ronaldo on Instagram with the caption: ‘Greatest of all time.’

But among the comments was one from former Man City and Argentina striker Aguero, who replied to Garnacho with: ‘Because you still didn’t play with the best @leomessi.’

Speaking about Ronaldo’s future after his hat-trick against Norwich, Ralf Rangnick said the decision needs to be made by United’s next manager.

‘This is in the end not my decision,’ said Rangnick. ‘Cristiano has got another year of contract. This will be a decision for the new manager to take, together with the board.

‘Again, he showed against Tottenham and today’s game, that he can be the difference maker, in moments like this, in games like this, and it is no coincidence he has the best goalscoring record of all players in history. He showed that again today.’
