Carlo Ancelotti ‘rejects Brazil as he performs shock U-turn’

Carlo Ancelotti’s future has taken an unexpected turn, as he is now weighing a surprising job opportunity despite previous links to the Brazilian national team.

While Ancelotti’s next destination remains unclear, strong rumors had tied him to Brazil’s national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup in North America.

However, fresh reports now indicate a different path, raising doubts about his potential move to manage Brazil.

Initial claims suggested Ancelotti would leave Madrid shortly after their Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, but that no longer appears to be the case.

Despite the 3-2 loss to Hansi Flick’s side, he remains at the helm, leaving uncertainty around his future.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, Ancelotti had been set to sign a contract with Brazil on Monday after traveling to London.

However, in a last-minute change of heart, he ultimately decided against taking the role and informed Brazilian federation president Ednaldo Rodrigues of his choice.

Instead, it is now believed Ancelotti will continue managing Real Madrid through the Club World Cup and postpone any job switch until August.

Reports suggest he is considering a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League.

The Saudi deal would reportedly earn the 65-year-old a staggering €50 million (£42m) per season, making him the highest-paid manager in football history.

According to SportsZone, Al Hilal is leading the pursuit of Ancelotti’s signature.

The Saudi club is allegedly hoping to leverage his arrival to entice Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr into an extraordinary €800 million (£680.18m) transfer in the summer.
