Andre Onana has expressed strong support for embattled manager Erik ten Hag as they approach the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Despite reports that Sir Jim Ratcliffe & INEOS are set to dismiss Ten Hag regardless of the outcome of the FA Cup final, Onana stands by his coach.

Following Manchester United’s poorest performance in the Premier League era, it has been determined that Ten Hag, the Dutch strategist, will be dismissed from his role.
“He’s a good guy, a good coach,” Onana told reporters ahead of the title decider.
“Tactically he’s very good, and he showed it last season. I was not here last season and they got top four. This season a lot of things happened. I’m not here to back him. He is big enough to back himself, but he is a really good guy, he is a positive coach and tactically he’s good.”
Ten Hag has often cited numerous injuries to important players during the season as a significant hindrance to achieving a consistent series of performances.
Onana believes his argument has enough merit and added: “If [Ten Hag] had all his squad, it would probably be different. This season is difficult for him, for us, for the club, for the fans because it is frustrating for the fans when they are coming away and how we are losing, it is difficult.”
Onana is eager to conclude the season triumphantly by securing the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday, thwarting City’s attempt to become the first English team to achieve back-to-back domestic doubles, having already clinched the Premier League title.
Such a win would also serve as an appropriate send-off for Ten Hag, offering a measure of redemption for his tenure before his departure.
