One area of concern is the left side of Arsenal’s attack, where current options Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Raheem Sterling have collectively scored just six league goals and provided four assists this season.
Reports from Spain indicate that Arsenal is addressing this issue by agreeing to a £50 million deal for Las Palmas left winger Alberto Moleiro.
The 21-year-old Spain under-21 international has spent his entire career with Las Palmas and has impressed in La Liga this season with four goals from 15 starts.
Moleiro, who can also play centrally as a No. 10, is small in stature but has a powerful shot from around the edge of the box. Although he has not yet registered an assist in the 2024-25 season, he is known for his ability to link play and create opportunities in the final third.
The Canary Islands native had a breakout campaign last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 28 league appearances.
According to Fichajes, Moleiro has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, but Arsenal has reportedly decided to pay his €60 million release clause.
“The official announcement could come in the coming months,” the report claims, “but everything indicates that Alberto Moleiro’s talent will shine at the Emirates Stadium, marking the start of a new stage in his career.”
