French club AS Monaco seemed to take a playful jab at Arsenal’s lackluster attack following the Gunners’ 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest.
The north London team dropped more points in their Premier League title race on Wednesday, practically ending their hopes of claiming the top-flight trophy.

Some pundits have criticized Arsenal’s decision to gamble in the January transfer window by not signing a new striker, arguing that the Gunners needed additional attacking options even before their injury woes.
As Arsenal continues to struggle for goals, Monaco took a swipe at them on social media after signing former Arsenal forward Mika Biereth last month.
‘If you need goals call Mika Biereth,’ Monaco posted on the English language version of their X account on Wednesday.
An Arsenal fan, @AfcBilbo9, responded to the post, which has ranked up over 2.9k likes and 130.2k views, by asking: ‘Can we have him back please, we need a striker right now.’
Monaco whipped back: ‘We just signed him bro.’
Biereth transferred to Arsenal from Fulham in 2021, but during his three-year stint at the Emirates, the 22-year-old didn’t make a single senior appearance.
Instead, Arsenal loaned him out to several clubs: Dutch side RKC Waalwijk, Scottish club Motherwell, and Austrian team SK Sturm Graz.
Last year, Arsenal decided to sell Biereth permanently to Sturm Graz, but after hitting form, Monaco took a chance on him in January, completing a €15m (£12.4m) transfer for the Denmark youth international.
Since joining Monaco, Biereth has been highly impressive, scoring seven goals in his first nine matches for the club.
Earlier this month, he achieved his second hat-trick in just five Ligue 1 games for Monaco during a 7-1 victory over Nantes.
‘Admin you’re trolling,’ a second Arsenal fan, @AFCOllie49, responded to Monaco’s cheeky post.
AFTV, formerly known as ArsenalFanTV, posted a crying emoji & wrote: ‘Not now admin, please.’
‘How much in the summer,’ Arsenal fan @beingblackie_ asked, suggesting the Gunners should make a bid at the end of the campaign.
Monaco’s account responded by saying that it would cost ‘a lot’ for Arsenal to bring Biereth back to the club.
Biereth spoke about his Arsenal exit in an interview with FlashScore last year.
‘Of course, I’m sad to have left Arsenal,’ Biereth said. ‘It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.’
