Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is expected to win the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award tomorrow, according to reports.
Jorginho has had a superb year for both club and country, helping the Blues win the Champions League and being a key player in Italy’s Euro 2020 win.
The Italian star will beat N’Golo Kante and Kevin De Bruyne in winning the award which will be given at thursday’s Champions League draw in Istanbul, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Jorginho became just the 10th player in history to win both the Euros and Champions League in the same year and is also expected to be in with the chance of winning the Ballon d’Or this year.
Rio Ferdinand believes Jorginho has become a better player since Thomas Tuchel arrived at Stamford Bridge.
‘Jorginho has gone to a new level [under Tuchel],’ he said. ‘Since Tuchel’s come, he’s [Jorginho] been a different player for me. The way he plays, he passes the ball forward now, so much more.
‘And he plays a little bit higher at times, so his ball now is into the final third to hurt teams, so there’s a difference.’
The three-man shortlist for the award was chosen by the 24 coaches of teams at Euro 2020, the 80 coaches of clubs in last season’s Champions League and Europa League group stages and 55 journalists selected by the European Sports Media group, one from each of UEFA’s member associations.
Each panel member was allowed three votes, with first vote receiving five points, the second three and third one. But coaches were not allowed to vote for players in their own team.
Lionel Messi finished fourth, while Robert Lewandowski ended in fifth. Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raheem Sterling were also among the top ten, but were not shortlisted for the award.
