Borussia Dortmund’s CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, concedes the German side are ‘not happy’ with Manchester United’s deal to sign Jadon Sancho.
Dortmund confirmed on Thursday that an agreement with the Red devils has been reached, with Sancho making the move to Old Trafford for £73.1m fee.
United failed with their attempts in signing the England international last year as Dortmund stood firm over their £108m asking price.
United have seen two offers worth €72m (£61.9m) and €78m (£67.1m) turned down by the Bundesliga team this month.
But with Sancho making it very clear that he is keen on a return to the Premier League, Dortmund accepted United’s third bid.
‘We’re not happy about the money,’ Watzke conceded during a press conference on Thursday.
‘We’re sad that he’s gone. ‘At the end of the day, it was Jadon’s exemplary wish to leave, we would have preferred to keep him here.

‘But he behaved fantastic and gave everything for four years. He made us move forward significantly in the second half of the season.’
Sancho, who is expected to take the No.7 shirt at the theatre of dreams, will sign a five-year contract worth around £250,000 per week.
The attacker, who is currently with the England squad at Euro 2020, will be United’s fourth most-expensive signing behind Maguire, Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.
