Under Flick, the team has struck a healthy balance between homegrown talent and marquee signings. Players like Lamine Yamal and Gavi emerged from the youth system, while proven names such as Robert Lewandowski have been brought in to strengthen the squad.
Following their La Liga title win, here’s a breakdown of what each senior squad member is taking him every week.
Goalkeepers
Marc-Andre ter Stegen earns far more than any other goalkeeper
Marc-Andre ter Stegen currently receives over €320,000 each week, making him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the team. Despite this, he seems to have lost his starting spot to Joan Garcia, who joined from Espanyol and signed a three-year contract worth just above €100,000 per week.
Barcelona also added veteran Wojciech Szczęsny, who came out of retirement to join the club last year and earns a respectable weekly wage.
Defenders
Four defenders earn over €100,000-a-week
In defense, Jules Kounde stands out as the top earner, pulling in over €300,000 weekly since his move from Sevilla in 2022. Ronald Araujo follows, having secured a new deal in January 2025 worth €240,385 per week.
Andreas Christensen ranks third among defenders with a weekly salary of €173,077. Though injuries have hampered his availability, he remains a reliable presence. Eric Garcia also earns above €100,000 weekly.
Youngster Pau Cubarsi signed a new contract this year, earning €76,923 weekly. Meanwhile, Alejandro Balde and Gerard Martin are the lowest-paid defenders in the squad.
Midfielders
Frenkie de Jong earns over €350,000-a-week
Frenkie de Jong has faced scrutiny since arriving in 2019, but his commitment to Barcelona remains firm. He recently signed a four-year extension valued at €365,385 per week.
He earns over €100,000 more than Pedri, who makes €240,385 weekly. Gavi is the third midfielder earning above €100,000, with a weekly salary of €180,385.
Academy graduates Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado renewed their contracts in 2024, earning €76,923 and €28,846 per week, respectively.
