FA Cup quarter-final draw (Full fixtures)

Fa Cup

Manchester United and Manchester City have now discovered their opponents for the FA Cup quarter-final. Both clubs progressed into the next stage this week and have been kept apart in the draw.

Man City are set to travel to Everton and United will face Leicester City. There is a south coast derby as Bournemouth will welcome Southampton while Sheffield will travel to Chelsea.

That is the final fifth round game with both sides going to battle on Thursday evening.

Everton will play Manchester City having come through a thriller against Tottenham on Wednesday. They went into extra time before prevailing 5-4, while City had a 3-1 at Swansea.

Like Everton, the Red devils also needed extra time as they beat West Ham on Tuesday night with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer happy to make it through.

He said: “It doesn’t really matter, it’s by book or by crook maybe, and that’s the main thing in the cup.

“We’re in the hat and we bounce back after the disappointment against Everton. That last goal [by Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the weekend] could be a mental kick in the face and we’ve refocused and reset the heads and done really well.

“It doesn’t matter [whether we are at home] at the moment with the fans. With the travelling, of course, it’s easier to be here at Old Trafford so yes please.

“Of course you want to win every game. We want to challenge and we want to go to the final. That’s what we’re here at Manchester United for.

“Sometimes you’re lucky with draws in the cup – we haven’t been that lucky – but obviously we move another step closer to the final.
