Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes has paid a huge compliment to Jesse Lingard after his recent form while out on loan at West Ham.
The Portugal international has been one of the stand-out performers in England this campaign, but believes that Lingard has been the best player in recent matches.
Lingard left United for a loan move to West Ham in the January transfer window, with the England international having previously fallen out of favour at the theatre of dreams.
However, Lingard looks back to his very best and is set to be an important player for Gareth Southgate’s side at the Euros this summer.
It may even earn Lingard a place in the Red devils squad again next season, with Fernandes sending a message by praising him so highly in an interview with the club’s official site.
“If you see Jesse, I think Jesse, at the moment, if you watch the last 10 games, has been top, top, top level,” Fernandes said.
“For me, if you watch the last 10 games, he’s been the best player in the Premier League, scoring and assists in every game.

“Everyone here is really, really happy for him. He has confidence back, he has his swag back, because he is feeling confident. We are really, really happy for what he’s doing.”
It remains to be seen if United will give Lingard another chance next campaign, or if they perhaps try to use this opportunity to cash in on him as big sides may now be interested in his signature after his recent form.
Edinson Cavani has also been outstanding in recent times, with the Uruguayan looking almost unplayable at the moment while exciting supporters with a contract extension for another year at United.
