Full breakdown of how coaches & captains voted in FIFA Best Awards as Vinicius Jr wins award

FIFA has disclosed the complete breakdown of votes for the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award.

On Tuesday evening, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr was crowned the best male player of the year, ahead of Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, and Lamine Yamal.

Following the ceremony, FIFA released the voting details from each country’s captain and coach.

Notable selections include England captain Harry Kane, who voted for Rodri, Bellingham, and Vinicius in his top three choices.

Croatia’s Luka Modric opted for his Real Madrid teammates Vinicius, Bellingham, and Carvajal.

Egypt and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah chose Vinicius as his top pick, with Rodri and Carvajal also making his list.

Spain captain Alvaro Morata did not include Vinicius in his selections, instead favoring the Spanish trio of Carvajal, Rodri, and Yamal.

Among the coaches, then-England interim boss Lee Carsley ranked Bellingham, Rodri, and Yamal as his top three choices.

France coach Didier Deschamps selected Vinicius, Mbappe, and Rodri.

For the other awards, Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho claimed the Puskas Award for the best goal of the year.

Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez was named goalkeeper of the year, while Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti received the coach of the year award.
