Alejandro Garnacho’s thoughts on Man Utd sacking Erik ten Hag are clear

Alejandro Garnacho, a prominent player for Manchester United, has expressed support for manager Erik ten Hag by endorsing a post.

There are speculations that the former Ajax coach might face challenges at Old Trafford following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s potential acquisition of a 25% stake in the club.

The team’s current season has been less than stellar, currently holding the seventh position in the Premier League with nine wins, seven losses, and an overall shaky performance in their first 17 matches.

Many of Manchester United’s recent displays have left fans feeling uneasy, especially as key players like Casemiro and Marcus Rashford have noticeably struggled.

However, in a positive turn, Ten Hag successfully motivated his team over the weekend, securing an unexpected 0-0 draw against formidable rivals Liverpool at Anfield. This performance suggested that certain squad members remain committed to supporting their manager.

Garnacho, in particular, showcased his dedication on Merseyside by diligently tracking back and assisting Luke Shaw at left-back.

The Argentina midfielder had a chance to secure a win for his team, but a crucial tackle by Trent Alexander-Arnold thwarted his attempt.

Manchester United’s recent performance has temporarily halted discussions about removing Ten Hag, and Garnacho’s activity on X (formerly Twitter) indicates his desire for the club’s leadership at the Theatre of Dreams to refrain from contemplating a managerial change.

He endorsed a post advocating the team’s continued commitment to the manager’s project, emphasizing future benefits for the club.

The post highlighted Jurgen Klopp’s initial challenges at Liverpool, paralleling Arsenal’s commitment to Mikel Arteta despite three challenging seasons.

Klopp’s early years included an FA Cup victory and a Champions League final appearance in his third season, along with previous runs in the Carabao Cup and Europa League.

In his debut season in England, Ten Hag guided Manchester United to a third-place Premier League finish, a Carabao Cup triumph, and an FA Cup final.

Should the Glazers and Ratcliffe overlook player appeals, Graham Potter is among the potential replacements for Ten Hag. The Englishman is eager to return to management after an unsuccessful stint with Chelsea.

If appointed, Potter might reunite with Dan Ashworth at Old Trafford, having previously collaborated closely at Brighton. Ashworth is held in high regard by Ratcliffe, who aims to attract him away from Newcastle in 2024.

Despite potential changes, Garnacho is visibly urging United to maintain faith in Ten Hag. He is determined to contribute to improved results, striving to persuade the board not to part ways with his manager.
