Klopp aims fresh dig at Man Utd & bizarrely blasts Liverpool fans

Jurgen Klopp took another swipe at Manchester United and criticized his own team’s supporters in the aftermath of Wednesday’s triumph against West Ham.

The Liverpool manager delivered these comments following his team’s commanding 5-1 victory in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against West Ham at Anfield.

Goals from Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah highlighted Liverpool’s exceptional performance, setting the stage for a highly anticipated Premier League clash against Arsenal on Saturday.

In his post-match comments, Klopp alluded to the goalless draw against United on Sunday, expressing disapproval of their defensive tactics. He said: ‘Things clicked tonight when they didn’t on Sunday.

‘I am not sure I am allowed to talk about what Man Utd did but they defended deeply.’

The 0-0 draw between Liverpool and Manchester United sparked a heated exchange between Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and United legend Roy Keane.

The dispute arose from Van Dijk’s remarks, where he asserted that the Red Devils were ‘buzzing with a point’ and emphasized that ‘only one team came to win.’

In a strange turn of events, Klopp criticized his own fans after the 5-1 victory against West Ham and expressed dissatisfaction with the atmosphere at Anfield.

‘I was not overly happy with the atmosphere behind me,’ Klopp added. ‘I wondered what they wanted.

‘We need Anfield on their toes without me being in argument with their coach or whatever.

‘If you’re not in the right shape, give your ticket to someone else.’
