Arsenal and City played to a draw in a closely contested match at the Etihad Stadium.
Following Sunday’s matches, Liverpool sit two points ahead of Arsenal at the summit of the Premier League, with reigning champions City trailing by three points and possessing a lesser goal difference.
Guardiola believes Liverpool have now taken the lead in the race for the title.
Asked if Liverpool are now clear favourites to win the Premier League, Guardiola said: ‘Yeah, the one who is first is favourite.
‘The second favourite is Arsenal and we are the third.’
Asked if he is concerned that Man City will not have enough matches to overtake Arsenal and Liverpool, Guardiola said: ‘It’s not in our hands.
‘All we can do is in the next game against Aston Villa try to win the game. That’s all we can do.
‘When we were top of the league we were favourites, it was in our hands and now it’s not, so it’s simple.’
