Among the biggest stories is the pursuit of a top striker, with several clubs reportedly looking to bolster their squads for the next season.
Sporting star Gyokeres has been heavily linked with a high-profile move this summer, but fresh reports claim the Swedish international has changed his mind regarding his next step.
Since Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim left Sporting for Old Trafford in November, speculation has swirled about his potential interest in reuniting with Gyokeres in England.
While earlier reports suggested that the striker was keen on joining United during the upcoming window, new information paints a different picture.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Gyokeres is now considering a move to one of United’s Premier League rivals, with Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal emerging as potential destinations.
The 26-year-old, under contract with Sporting until 2028, is seen by the club as likely to leave despite having a €100 million (£84.4m) release clause.
Sporting has reportedly set an initial asking price of €70 million (£59.1m) but may raise it if multiple clubs formalize their interest in the player.
Among the Premier League contenders, Manchester City is said to be the least likely to bid for Gyokeres, having already acquired Bundesliga star Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for €70 million (£59m) in January.
Outside England, Gyokeres is also attracting interest from European powerhouses such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.
While the striker reportedly prefers a Premier League move, these clubs could present compelling options.
Gyokeres has enjoyed a stellar season at Sporting, scoring an impressive 39 goals and providing nine assists across 40 appearances, solidifying his reputation as one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards.
