Jose Mourinho delivered a classic post-match interview following his Fenerbahce team’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Europa League.
Ahead of the game against his former club, Mourinho had been in a lively mood and kept the spotlight on himself both during and after the match.

In his interview afterward, Mourinho criticized the official and firmly claimed that his team deserved the victory.
Mourinho told TNT Sports: “He [Turpin] told me something incredible, he said at the same time he could see the action in the box and my behaviour on the touchline.
“I congratulate him because he’s absolutely incredible, he has peripheral vision, at 100 miles per hour he had one eye on the penalty situation and one eye on my behaviour, that’s why he’s one of the best in the world. I watched the incident [again], I have nothing to say.”
It was yet another frustrating night in Europe for United, who found themselves 21st in the Europa League standings, having only secured three points from their three matches.
However, Mourinho argued that the Red Devils should feel satisfied to have managed a draw against his team.
He said: “No, they got a point against us, not us against them. We played amazing, if they [Fenerbahce] play like this in the Turkish league we will destroy everything, we played a team at a superior level than us, of course the Premier League has more quality, more intensity, more pace, more everything, and my boys did an amazing match.
“We had to do a crazy puzzle, our performance was extraordinary, I couldn’t ask for any more from my players. I think we had a phenomenal performance.”
Mourinho was stunned by Andre Onana’s phenomenal double save against Youssef En-Nesyri and showered the United goalkeeper with praise in his interview.
“He saved the result, my goalkeeper didn’t make a save, he made two impossible saves in 10 seconds, he’s the most decisive player in the result,” Mourinho added.
Following the draw, Fenerbahce sit 14th in the table with five points.
Mourinho’s focus now shifts to Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig match at home against Bodrum, as his team aims to close the eight-point gap behind league leaders Galatasaray.
Meanwhile, United will seek to build on their recent victory over Brentford by taking down a struggling West Ham side.
