Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has revealed his team’s chances of eliminating Real Madrid from this year’s Champions League.
The Frenchman believes Thomas Tuchel’s side have created the perfect platform to knock the La Liga giants out of the Champions League semi-final and progress to the finals.
Kante was named Man of the Match as the blues played 1-1 with Zidane’s side in the Champions League semi-final first-leg tie last Tuesday.
The 30-year-old midfielder will hope to lead Chelsea to a win when they host Real Madrid at the Stamford Bridge in the second leg next week Wednesday.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League game with Fulham on Saturday, Kante said: “We are happy for the result [against Real Madrid].
“Coming into this game, we knew we would be playing against a great team, and we wanted to leave with a good result so we would have the momentum ahead of the second leg at home.
“I think overall 1-1 is a fair result. We had many chances that we didn’t score, but we can be happy with the draw. We’re looking forward to playing at home and hopefully qualifying for the final.”

He added, “We need to take the positives from this game. Yes, we could have scored more goals from the chances we created, but the main thing is we were creating the opportunities to score, and that’s a positive sign.
“For sure, reaching the final is a goal, and it’s possible for us now. We’ve to be fully focused on the second leg when it comes because we’re playing against a very strong opponent.”
