Karim Adeyemi responds as Chelsea make approach for Dortmund star

According to reports, Karim Adeyemi is not convinced about transferring to Chelsea following their interest in signing the Borussia Dortmund winger.

Last season, the 22-year-old had an inconsistent year with Dortmund, managing to score only five goals in 34 matches.

He played on the left wing during his team’s defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Chelsea’s interest has been piqued by his performances, and they have reportedly approached Adeyemi’s representatives to explore a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

However, MailOnline reports that Adeyemi is ‘unreceptive’ to the idea of joining Chelsea this summer.

The report also mentions that the winger is eager to continue playing in the Champions League, a competition Chelsea will not be participating in next season.

Adeyemi scored the winning goal against Chelsea in the first leg of a Champions League knockout tie in February last year. After the match, Jude Bellingham praised his Dortmund teammate.

‘We are really confident when he gets the ball one on one,’ said Bellingham.

‘Not many players can stop him. He had a tough time coming here at the start, finding his feet, and now he’s flying.’

Chelsea have already signed five players this summer. These include Tosin Adarabioyo, who joined from Fulham on a free transfer last month, Marc Guiu, who was acquired from Barcelona for £5m, Omari Kellyman, who arrived from Aston Villa in a £19m deal, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who was signed from Leicester City for £30m.

Additionally, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Brazilian club Palmeiras to sign their highly-rated 17-year-old winger Estevao Willian, who will move to Stamford Bridge next summer after turning 18.
