The Spanish international showcased his skill by dribbling past two defenders down the right before curling his effort off the far post, notching his 15th goal of the season.
Barcelona eventually settled for a 3-3 draw, with Yamal once again proving why he is considered a generational talent.
Although Hansi Flick’s squad is packed with talent, Yamal previously spoke in an interview with *Mundo Deportivo* about three players he admires most, as well as one he hopes Barca will sign.
He picked former Barcelona superstar Neymar, describing him as a “legend” and someone he has always idolized.
In a surprise choice, he also named Brazilian winger Savinho, who was signed by Manchester City from Troyes last summer for £33 million.
Completing his trio, Yamal selected Bayern Munich and Germany’s Jamal Musiala, who shared the Golden Boot at Euro 2024.
Pressed about which of the three he would sign, Yamal replied: “You want me to say Neymar… but no: Musiala, who has a contract.”
Musiala departed Chelsea for Bayern Munich as a 16-year-old in 2019 and has since amassed 202 appearances for the German club, securing four Bundesliga titles along the way.
Despite being linked with moves to Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona—where his connection with Hansi Flick sparked speculation—Musiala reaffirmed his commitment to Bayern at the start of the year, signing a contract that keeps him at the club until 2030.
Yamal faced off against Musiala in the Euros quarter-finals, where Spain edged out Germany 2-1 in extra time thanks to Mikel Merino’s dramatic 119th-minute winner.
Ahead of the clash, Musiala spoke highly of Yamal’s performances at just 16 years old, drawing parallels to his own development at the same stage of his career.
“To be at this level at 16 is really amazing,” Musiala told Sky Sports.
“At 16, I didn’t have the physical prerequisites to train with the first-team. And he can consistently play and keep up at this level. That’s really cool to see.”
