Bayer Leverkusen have told Chelsea they will not budge on their current valuation of Kai Havertz, despite confirming the midfielder wants to leave this summer window.
Havertz is a priority transfer target for Frank Lampard after completing the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech and reports claim the blues have agreed personal terms with the German.
Chelsea had hoped his £90million valuation would drop after Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro revealed that Kai Havertz had asked to leave the club.
‘It was always clear that we will have talks once the Europa League season concluded,’ Leverkusen chief Carro told Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger.
‘Kai has voiced his desire to make the next step. ‘At the moment, I can’t say whether this will work out in the near future or not.’
However, the Bundesliga side have made it very clear in negotiations between the two teams that they will not reduce his price tag, according to the Evening Standard.
The London side will have hoped to reduce his price tag, particularly as they also hope to land Ben Chilwell as well this summer.

Chelsea already signed Werner and Ziyech for a combined £80m, and Havertz is set to cost them £90m and Leicester City are holding out for a further £80m for Chilwell, their summer spending could reach huge figures.
Asked specifically about Havertz rumours after the FA Cup final defeat, Frank Lampard said: ‘‘I wouldn’t expect anything but it’s our job to go away and see what happens and see where we can improve.
‘In a footballing sense, I feel like I know where we can improve but now it’s time to look at that.’
