Manchester United supporters were left scratching their heads during the first half of the derby against Manchester City after a revealing on-screen graphic caused quite a stir.

Garnacho later missed a decent opportunity, seemingly unaware of the ball’s position, while Patrick Dorgu fired a wild shot over the bar from the left.
However, it was around the midway point of the first half that Sky Sports displayed a graphic showing United’s average player positions — and it sparked confusion among fans.
While Garnacho was clearly stationed high up the pitch, it was Rasmus Højlund’s placement that stood out, with the Danish forward appearing as deep as a defensive midfielder, only just ahead of Casemiro.
One wrote: “Why is Hojlund’s average position in our own half? Get up there so we can break better with you being there than everything landing to Garnacho.”
Another said: “Hojlund’s average position is next to Casemiro.”
And a third joked: “Hojlund’s average position is killing me…”
The first half ended goalless, with Amorim’s team looking slightly more threatening amid the limited opportunities at Old Trafford.
A win — or even a single point — would see United climb to 13th in the Premier League standings, whereas a victory for City would propel them back into the top four, securing a spot in the automatic Champions League qualification zone.
