Manchester United set a new Premier League record after extending their unbeaten away run to 28 matches after Sunday’s 1-0 victory against Wolves at Molineux.
Much of the pre-match centered on Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford, but with the formalities of his transfer from Juventus unlikely to be completed until next week, Solskjaer was without the services of the player.
However, The Norwegian coach was able to hand full United debuts to Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, but both struggled in a torrid opening period during which the visitors were run ragged by Adama Traore.

The Wolves star has been linked with a move to Tottenham over the course of the last 10 days and showed why he would be an asset to the Red devils during the early exchanges.
Indeed, it was his lung-bursting run which created a chance for Raul Jimenez, but the Wolves player’s shot from a narrow angle was repelled by the legs of David de Gea.
Traore created a better chance moments later after a poor pass from Fred which he seized upon before feeding Trincao. The Barca star drifted away from the Brazilian and beat De Gea, only to see Aaron Wan-Bissaka complete a clearance from inside his own six-yard box.
United threatened only briefly with Mason Greenwood denied his third goal in three games by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.
The pattern of the second-half mirrored that of the first and not even Edinson Cavani could effect a change after been introduced five minutes after the re-start.
Trincao was a constant menace but his lack of composure in front of goal prevented Wolves from breaking their duck for the campaign when he bobbled a shot wide following another electric burst from Traore.
All of those misses were to prove costly when, with 10 minutes left, Greenwood’s low drive proved too hot to handle for Sa, who could only divert the ball into his net.
United comfortable saw out the closing stages to move up to third in the table, breaking a record held by Arsenal’s Invincibles in the process.
