Ruben Amorim has taken a significant step regarding another Manchester United player after being dissatisfied with his performances.
Amorim has shown he isn’t afraid to make tough calls during his tenure at United, most notably sidelining Marcus Rashford.

Amorim bluntly stated he would rather bench his goalkeeping coach, Jorge Vital, over “a player that doesn’t give the maximum every day.” It’s now reported that he is not on speaking terms with Rashford, who remains linked with a potential transfer.
Amorim also harbors doubts about another United forward, but for different reasons. According to talkSPORT, underperforming striker Rasmus Hojlund has ‘effectively been placed on trial’ by United, who have now revised their stance on the Danish player.
At one point, the former Atalanta star was considered untouchable, with United unwilling to entertain offers for him.
However, the situation has changed drastically, with Amorim reportedly unconvinced by Hojlund due to his recent poor form.
United’s No. 9 has only scored two goals in the Premier League this season and has now gone eleven games without finding the net.
In the 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday, Hojlund had a completely anonymous performance.
The 21-year-old registered just one touch in the opposition’s box, failed to take a single shot, and completed only 67 percent of his passes.
Hojlund was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee after 58 minutes, and astonishingly, the £72 million signing has failed to score in 37 of his 49 Premier League appearances since joining United.
Napoli and Juventus are reportedly monitoring Hojlund and could potentially bring him back to Italy.
“He wants it really hard and you can see it sometimes that without training, there is a disconnection,” Amorim said after an abject performance from Hojlund.
“We can explain, but without training sometimes it goes away, when he should be near, sometimes he’s near when he should make a run,” Amorim said.
“We don’t have time to make this connection, we don’t train these kinds of things, we just talk about these things. He has a lot to improve, like his team-mates.”
Man United are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Steaua Bucharest in the Europa League, before facing Crystal Palace on Sunday.
