Man Utd star rejects final contract offer to stay at club

Manchester United’s talented midfielder, Omari Forson, has turned down a contract extension with the club to pursue a new challenge with Italian Serie A team Monza.

The 19-year-old has secured a four-year agreement with Monza, which includes an additional year as an option.

Despite being offered a new contract by United and not being listed for transfer, Forson’s limited playing time towards the end of the season led him to seek opportunities elsewhere.

He made only seven appearances last season and scored an assist on his Premier League debut for teammate Kobbie Mainoo.

Forson’s role diminished as the season progressed, and he was not part of the squad that triumphed over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

His move to Monza, who finished 12th in Serie A last season, is now imminent. United will receive compensation for Forson, who hails from London.

Negotiations are ongoing with goalkeeper Tom Heaton and defender Jonny Evans regarding their contract renewals, as both are set to become free agents on June 30th.
