Erik ten Hag’s team must secure a victory to maintain their aspirations for silverware this season, while Liverpool are still in contention for a quadruple.
Their previous encounter in December resulted in a goalless draw at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s squad enters the match as favorites, sitting second in the Premier League table with a significant 17-point lead over United.
Nevertheless, United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has issued a warning to Liverpool, suggesting they could face dire consequences if they underestimate their performance at Old Trafford.
“Like you said, it’s the do or die or the eat or get eaten,” the loanee told United’s official club website.
“So we have to be ready. We have to be prepared. It was like I said, the pull is strong, but they want to win and we want to win.
“So we have to be hungry. We have to. We have to fight for every metre, to give our lives, and yeah, do or die.”
Amrabat acknowledged the significant influence the Old Trafford crowd will wield, particularly with Liverpool’s expanded away allocation of 9,211 tickets.
“Yeah, I think so, you know, because they are always behind us everywhere,” he explained.
“No matter where or when. So I think they know that they are very good for us. They know we need them. I think they are amazing and they help us a lot.
“We know it’s very important for them but also for us, of course. So we want to make them happy and, hopefully, we can give them a nice game and get the win.”
