In the quarter-finals, Arsenal is set to battle Bayern Munich, and Manchester City will confront Real Madrid.

When asked before the draw which teams would make it to the competition final, Mikel replied “The final will be held in Wembley, England so I would like an English club to make it into the final.

“I hope Manchester City or Arsenal make it.”

Mikel Obi joins the elite list of Nigerian players like Finidi George and Kanu Nwankwo who have clinched the Champions League trophy.
