Thierry Henry predicts winner of this season’s Champions League

Thierry Henry gave a cold response when prompted to forecast the outcome of the UEFA Champions League.

The intensity of the tournament escalated notably as the quarter-finals commenced, featuring captivating matchups.

Arsenal and Manchester City initiated proceedings with first-leg clashes against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, respectively, on Tuesday.

Twenty-four hours later, Paris Saint-Germain would confront Barcelona, while Atletico Madrid would welcome Borussia Dortmund.

While attempting to predict knockout fixtures in the Champions League is often futile, enthusiasts and analysts persist in their attempts.

During the pre-match coverage of Arsenal’s encounter with Bayern, Thierry Henry, the former Arsenal forward, was invited to prognosticate the progression to the semi-finals, the eventual finalists, and the ultimate champion of Europe.

Henry, who has always been open about his fondness for his former club, typically maintains impartiality in his analysis and punditry.

However, on this occasion, he decisively declared his preference with a frigid response, bypassing predictions for each round and directly naming the champion.

“Me, I ONLY care about Arsenal, because they are in [the competition], so I’m going to go straight with the champion — The Arsenal,” Henry said.

“Bye, see you later.”

Arsenal finds themselves in the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2010.

Following their encounter with Bayern on Tuesday night, Arsenal will head to Munich for the return leg on Wednesday, April 17.

Should Mikel Arteta’s team manage to overcome the Bundesliga giants across both legs, they will proceed to face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in a two-legged semi-final.

The initial leg of the semi-final is slated for April 30 or May 1, with the subsequent leg scheduled for May 7 or 8.
