Erik ten Hag makes feelings clear on Rashford exit after Man Utd ‘name price’

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, has dismissed rumors of Marcus Rashford’s potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Amidst speculations that PSG is eyeing Rashford as a successor to Kylian Mbappe, who is poised to join Real Madrid, Ten Hag insists the homegrown talent remains integral to United’s future.

Despite PSG’s previous interest and a reported £75 million offer, Ten Hag maintains Rashford is not for sale.

In his press conference ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final with Liverpool, Ten Hag said: “We did not re-sign Marcus last season for four years with the intention to sell him now.

“He should be part of Man United project and it’s not a subject we don’t talk about”.

In Erik ten Hag’s inaugural season, Marcus Rashford hit the back of the net 30 times across various contests.

However, this season has seen a dip in form, with Rashford scoring only seven times. Despite this, the English forward secured his future at Manchester United with a new deal until 2028.

Amidst transfer rumors, Rashford declared his loyalty to the club that raised him, as stated in the Players Tribune.

“Listen, I’m not a perfect person,” he said. “When I make a mistake, I’ll be the first one to put my hand up and say that I need to do better.

“But if you ever question my commitment to Man United, that’s when I have to speak up. It’s like somebody questioning my entire identity, and everything I stand for as a man.

“I grew up here. I have played for this club since I was a boy. My family turned down life-changing money when I was a kid so I could wear this badge.”
